Description:
The Corridor G Economic Development Authority was created by
the West Virginia Legislature to promote job and business
development along the newly upgraded US Route 119 in southwestern
West Virginia. Route 119 runs through Boone, Lincoln, Logan and
Mingo counties, the four counties which constitute the Corridor G
economic development area. The new organization is composed of the
four local economic development directors and a board of directors
with representatives from each of the four counties. The
Authority does not supersede already existing local development
groups, but rather complements them by bringing local professionals
into a structure which recognizes that the recently completed
Corridor G highway inextricably integrates the economies of these
counties.
